Introducing the Rockford Health Council

The Rockford Health Council, Inc., is a nonprofit, community-based organization comprised of member organizations.

Our MISSION is building and improving community health in Winnebago, Boone, and Ogle counties through education, action, dialogue and legislative activity.

Our VISION is to "improve the health of the region's residents by serving as a catalyst and coordinator for agency and individual collaboration to assure access, cost effectiveness, and quality."

Formerly known as the Rockford Council for Affordable Health Care, membership on the newly restructured Rockford Health Council is open to Rockford-area organizations, including for-profit and nonprofit entities, which support the mission and purpose of the Council.

Governance of the Rockford Health Council is through a board of directors chosen by the members. Officers for 2005 are:

Phil Eaton, Vice Chairman (Rosecrance Health Network)
Einar Forsman, Treasurer (City of Rockford)

Becky Cook Kendall is the executive director.

Ms.Gloria Dillard manages our Community Access Project.

Ms. Jannine Rasmussen, administrative assistant, supports the executive director and Council on a part-time basis.
