Rockford Health Council, as the catalyst for collaboration, builds and maintains a healthy community.
Founded in 1982, the Council is a non-profit organization whose members comprise the collective expertise of leaders in healthcare, business, education and the community. We provide a forum for advocacy and education to address key community health issues through multi-sector collaboration.

The Council sees its purpose as identifying issues and initiating sustainable projects that will produce measurable results and provide access to quality healthcare. Two of our current projects are “Changing Hearts” and “Healthy Smiles, Healthy Kids.”

Rockford Health Council exists to build and improve community health in our region, through education, action and advocacy, and that’s what we’re doing with these programs.

Benefits of membership in the Rockford Health Council
• Join a community forum where members address health issues through multi-sector collaboration
• Support priorities with defined goals and measurable results.

• Affect the status of health in the region through a network of organizations that share a similar vision.
